Happy Monday, loves! Today is a casual Monday, as determined by moi. In reality, everyday that I attend class is a casual day… maybe a little too casual, but lets not stray from the point, shall we? 😉 (But really, no make-up + messy bun + leggings is technically casual and not just athleisure, right?!). With that being said, today’s little chat is going to be held in the same fashion, too, and a pinch random at that. Tee-shirt and all. Mondays are management days for Kait & ko. I gather bits and pieces of contracts to be finalized, file tax information, and coordinate the editorial calendar.
The editorial calendar is where I plan what topics are posted on what days, based upon seasons, analytics, and simple desires. I am currently planning publishments through March and they vary in topics from work + education + Kait & ko. balance to a food diary to variations on the perfect dress for Easter Sunday. However, my favorite ideas are ones that come from the readers of Kait & ko. because I know they will be well adored! If you have any ideas whatsoever on any topic, please let me know. I love to please you all!
Second topic of discussion: talking… haha! If you follow me on Instagram you know that I went on a little adventure with K to Park Place in Leawood (more details to come on that on February 13th). If you follow my blog in general, you will know how incredibly shy and introverted I am. It always makes me giggle because I feel like blogging and shyness completely contradict, but it is totally fine. Nonetheless, I had to be a bit more social this weekend than I am used to. I took advantage of Instagram stories as I toured the shopping center: talking, selfies, photos, and all. Guess what?! It was so much fun. I had K tag along with me and he gave me a simple rule: no rewatching my story. At all. This meant once I said what needed to be said, I was done! It was the perfect piece of advice I needed in order to make the day stress-free. Otherwise, I would have spent an obnoxious amount of time watching, rewatching and perfecting every single post. Completely unnecessary. I met several of the sweetest ladies, like Helen of Kaleidoscope Spinning, which made my journey to Kansas City worth it alone! I pinky promise, stepping out of your comfort zone is incredibly worth the few seconds of discomfort. So. Worth. It.
I will end with a quick note of today’s wardrobe pick: a classic tee paired with white skinnies. I am a touch obsessed with these shirts by C&C California. The fabric is lightweight for the upcoming spring season and perfectly soft. I feel like I am continuously buying plain ol’ tees and recycling through them due to pilling or wearing + tearing far too quickly… but with these tees so far, so good! This brand also has short sleeve tees available in the same silhouette if you are ready to refresh your summertime casual from last season.
Have a perfect Monday,
