While I assume many of you celebrated the holiday appropriately this past weekend, if you have yet to gather the perfect costume for Halloween I raided Pinterest for a sprinkling of ideas! These statement costumes are all easily created within an hour and you may find all the supplies at your local Target. With these tips + tricks, you’ll be decorated in a pinch.
1 | Starbuck’s Cup
If I would have dressed up this year, I without a doubt would have been a Starbuck’s cup! I found this absolutely darling look on Southern Curls & Pearls! Caitlin curated the ultimate costume for all coffee-lovers and ‘basic’ ladies alike. You can find the complete step-by-step to transforming into a Starbuck’s cup here. It really is simple, just combine your closet staple nude slip, a paper towel tube, green duct tape, and a classic logo. Voila! Skinny vanilla latte, don’t forget the whip 😉 .
2 | Audrey Hepburn
This costume I can definitely say is tried and true! I myself was Audrey Hepburn back in the day, and who is to say I don’t strive to be like her today?! We could all use a little bit of Audrey’s notable class in our lives. Gather the little black dress in your closet and pair with a classic string of pearls and a dainty tiara, and you will be looking nearly as lovely as Holly.
3 | Gumball Machine
How adorable + fun is this idea? I am sure you all have seen this gumball machine costume all over Pinterest, but it is too cute not to share! Some mini pom-poms, a hot-glue gun, a plain-white tank, and red bottoms are all you need to recreate this look this Halloween.
4 | Robber
The robber is a classic costume. If you have a lover, it also makes for the perfect couple costume! Cops + robbers, too cute. Simply pair a striped tee + black denim and some tinted lenses and you will looked prepped for [legal] criminal activity. If you are feeling extra ambitious, consider crafting a mask or a sack for smuggling sweets + treats.
Flaunt a little taste of America’s history with a costume based of of Rosie the Riveter.
Have a happy Halloween,
