Good morning, loves!
Being half-way through the week, I thought I would share the festivities of last weekend with you all. As many of you know, St. Louis is my temporary home, but Kansas City is where my heart is! It is quite the common occurrence that I self-diagnose myself with quite the bout of home sickness (#dramatic). Generally, those few days of struggle are managed with several Skype dates, ice cream sundaes, and cuddles with Marley. On occasion, my family does make it cross-state and that is the ultimate therapy. Although a rarity, it is treasured.
This past weekend, my parents trekked to my baby brother’s campus. I made the drive to his college town on Saturday, which was coincidentally homecoming. I am currently studying at a tiny private school, so experiencing a real college homecoming is definitely an experience! There was so much support, from alumni, students, family, friends, and beyond in such a tiny town! I am obviously a little bit sheltered or a little bit of a homebody, either way a university homecoming is a phenomenal experience. Anyways, my time with my family was much needed and well deserved! We spent the day dining at local eateries and then basking in delicious food comas. While I had to do extra cardio this morning, it was so lovely to be with my family. This girl’s heart is happy.
I wore this outfit for Saturday’s events, unsupportive of the university’s colors (…oops!). Note, this pullover is also available in black (or olive/ivory) and which may have been more appropriate for the occasion. How unique is the quilted layer which turns this otherwise bland pullover into a cozy + chic piece? The versatile buttons allow for wear throughout the day as the temperature changes from sunup to sundown. I ordered a size small with the intentions of an over-sized fit to be paired with leggings, but it more so fit perfectly! If you are looking for a larger fit I would recommend going up two sizes!
Thanks for stopping by,
