Happy Monday, loves!
I am quite ecstatic to introduce you all to Marley, my adorable teenie weenie dog. Please excuse her raggamuffin appearence, she is overdue for a grooming!
Most of you know I am a soon-to-be Mrs. With that being said K and I have just begun our ‘shredding for the wedding.’ While we are both passionate about fitness and health, there is definitely room for improvement. In other words, no more late night ice cream runs (or at least less) and my juvenile palette must vastly expand to incorporate a little more veggies and a lot less mac n’ cheese.
Each week, I set a goal to workout at the local gym a minimum of five times per week. During these sessions, I complete high intensity interval training (HIIT) on the treadmill in addition to a weight-lifting circuit. However, on the days I do not go to the gym (and sometimes the days I do) I take Marley for a stroll around the neighborhood.
K believes Marley has gained quite a bit of ‘fluff’ over the winter, so these walks are benefiting both parties- I am at peace from stress for a moment, while Marlz and one step closer to her summer bod! For these low intensity sustained state (LISS) conditioning sessions I walk for approximately 30 minutes. However, Marley’s stubby legs do not carry her quite that far and most often I have to carry her the last half! Ha!
I am seriously swooning over this new fitness ensemble. It may just be me, but I firmly believe brand new fitness apparel is more motivating than a beach vacation, which is probably why my weekly laundry primarily consists of Nike shorts. Nonetheless, this tank is darling (identical to this one from Lulu Lemon AND is 40% off with the code ‘MONDAY’) and can be worn tied or untied for two different styles! I am wearing a medium for reference. My all-time favorite Nike Frees 5.0 were purchased in the little kids’ section at a Nike Factory Store, however I have linked some very similar options below!
Have the happiest of Mondays,
P.S. One of my near and dear friends has created a blog, Sincerely Mo. If you are passionate about fine literature or even searching for a critical thinking teaching tool be sure to take a look-sy!
