There is no better way to get to know a girl’s beauty regimen than to take a sneak peek into her medicine cabinet. Medicine cabinet, top drawer, beauty bag, caboodle… it all tells the same story. Seriously though, I keep my tried and true items on these little shelves so I can easily reach for them day or night. By taking a simple glance you can decipher whether I have dry or oily skin, determine which products I adore to splurge on versus love to save a pretty penny on, and spot a few of my favorite products of the season. Of course I have quite the other stash of goodies, but they aren’t quite prestige enough to hold a place in the almighty medicine cabinet. Ha!
When I lived in Saint Louis I kept my go-to products in my very top drawer in the bathroom. However, when I moved back to Kansas City K politely asked me which sink on our double vanity I wanted to be ‘mine.’ Little did he know, I already had first dibs on the sink nearest to the medicine cabinet 😉 . Totally kidding, but at our initial walkthrough I may or may not have been picturing organization galore. Type A girl, right here. Nonetheless, as we are slowly but surely making our house a home, here is my medicine cabinet:
If I were a coffee drinker, I would say this is the beauty regimen equivalent for your early morning boost. After cleaning I simply apply with a cotton pad and it perks me up and makes me feel like a total smoke show at 6 a.m. No joke.
I have incredibly dry skin and flaunting patches on my chin is not the look I am going for. Just no. One little drop works wonders! I definitely recommend utilizing this oil while traveling because its a petite bottle and can easily be blotted on before and after take-off.
When I am not using Argan Oil, I use this Tula Moisturizer. If I am feely ambitious sometimes I will add a drop of the oil into the cream for an extra boost of moisture. Tula is so lovely because it implements the use of probiotics for balancing your skin. So, when my chin is dry and patchy in the fall and winter this moisturizer combats it. Likewise, when the corners of my nose resemble a sandy dessert (eeep!) in the spring + summer it successfully adds much desired balance to my skin.
Whenever I am at Target I am sure to grab a pack of towelettes to keep on hand. I keep one package in my medicine cabinet and one in my bedside table for those nights I am feeling extra lazy and taking off my makeup seems like an unbearable task. If I am feeling frivolous I generally splurge on these.
Obviously, I adore Purity by the simple fact my jumbo bottle is nearly empty. I wasn’t lying when I said you can tell a lot about a girl by her medicine cabinet 😉 . I use this cleanser every other night or so alternating between my favorite Tula cleanser. This cleanser is also a gem when it comes to cleaning your makeup brushes.
I originally invested in this oil because of its claim to improve the appearance of stretch marks! Yes, I am twenty-something and I am human and I have stretch marks. Needless to say, I did have success and those *beauty marks* are significantly less visible, but not gone completely. Bonus: I use Bio Oil on my elbows, knees, and ankles prior to self-tanning for a more even tan.
My favorite masks. Ever. I use the SUPERMUD on a weekly basis. It’s a part of my Sunday primping + pampering routine! It is a clearing treatment that works to minimize pores in addition to ridding of acne and blemishes. I will occasionally use it as a spot treatment throughout the week when I have unwanted redness. I have travel sizes of YOUTHMUD and THIRSTYMUD on the bottom shelves as well! I am planning to use the YOUTHMUD the night before my wedding because of the natural glow it brings to my skin!
My all-time favorite way to remove my makeup. It is grandma’s little secret and a method of old-time Hollywood celebrities. The perfect way to glam on a budget.
I am not going to lie, I currently have six bottles of this cleanser under my sink. Never will I ever let myself run out.
Being that I am rather fair-skinned, I keep a self-tanner in my medicine cabinet at all times because I love how I feel when I have a pinch of color to my skin. This St. Tropez Self-Tanner is currently on rotation!
I use this twice daily with one of my many cleansers.
I love keeping a few of my favorite hues front and center in case I have a chip or am in dire need of a fresh coat of polish. This season my favorite colors are: Mod About You, Alpine Snow, and Mimosas for the Mr. and Mrs..

I am obsessed with trying new scents and when I do I invest in a rollerball when I am not quite ready to take a leap on the full bottle. Plus, they are so simple to toss into your handbag when you’re on the go!
Have you all seen the compilation of photos of the girl that has a tube of Carmex in every single photo? That is me. Subtract Carmex and add Aquaphor. It’s in my purse, my nightstand, my car, my gym tote, and of course my medicine cabinet. I joke that I suffer from chronic dry lip and Aquaphor is my saving grace!
I have always heard that once you hit your mid-twenties you should start being proactive with an anti-aging regimen. While I am still designing a routine and sampling a few different products, this eye cream is a keeper. I simply apply it to my eyelids and beneath the eye, finishing by massaging it into the corners of my eye. K thinks it is so silly I am already taking measures to prevent wrinkles, but in 50 years he will be thanking me 😉 .
Lastly, I keep the handful of products that I am testing in my medicine cabinet that way I remember to use them! Currently I am sampling Shiseido Ultimune and Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. So far, so good!
What products to you keep in your medicine cabinet?!
